Etienne Genier

Etienne is from France near Switzerland. He obtained B. Sc in Physics in 2015 from the university of Franche-Comté Bourgogne. During his Master's degree obtained in 2017, he participated in two different projects focusing on supercontinuum generation: Supercontinuum generation in photonic crystal fiber under the supervision of the Senior Researcher T. Sylvestre in FEMTO-ST institute and Development, and characterization of an all-fiber thulium doped laser mode-locked by carbon nanotube saturable absorber for near-infrared supercontinuum generation under the supervision of the Prof M. Y. Sander in Boston University Photonics Center.

From now on, he is working on his PhD as a part of the European SUPUVIR project in NKT Photonics company. He is focusing on low-noise, visible-near-IR supercontinuum sources for optical coherence tomography applications.
