Manoj Kumar Dasa

Manoj is from Hyderabad, India. In the year 2012, he received his Bachelor of Technology degree in the field of Electronics and Communications Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, India.

In April 2016, he earned his Master of Science degree in Electrical Communication Engineering, with a specialization in Optoelectronics at University of Kassel, Germany. During the course of his master’s program, he joined the Department of Characterization and Simulation, Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems, Freiburg, Germany as a graduate student assistant for a period of six months, where he worked under the supervision of Dr. Markus Mundus to build a Supercontinuum setup for advanced Solar cell characterization. He later joined the Laser Process Technologies group at Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems, Freiburg, Germany as a Scientific Assistant for a period of 18 months, during this time he also wrote his Master thesis, entitled “Pump-probe Imaging of Laser Processes for Solar Cell Production” under the supervision of Dipl.-Phys. Fabian Meyer and Dr. Jan Nekarda.

As a part of SUPUVIR ITN project, in February 2017, Manoj joined Fiber Sensors and Supercontinuum group, Department of Photonics Engineering, Technical University of Denmark to pursue his Ph.D. His Ph.D. will be mainly focused on developing Photoacoustic Microscopy setup with novel high energy Supercontinuum source (capable of delivering pulses with energies 5 times the pulse energy of the current state-of-the-art SuperK compact SC source from NKT Photonics) for the spectroscopic Photoacoustic Imaging applications.
