University of Cambridge

Founded in 1209, Cambridge University is the second-oldest university in the English-speaking world. It is formed from a variety of institutions which include 31 constituent colleges and over 100 academic departments organised into six schools. Cambridge has many notable alumni, including several eminent mathematicians, scientists, economists, writers, and philosophers. 92 Nobel laureates have been affiliated with it as students, faculty, staff or alumni. CAM is consistently ranked as a top-5 university in the world, and on the innovation side it is linked to the business cluster Silicon Fen, the second largest venture capital market in the world, after Silicon Valley. 250 active startup companies are directly linked with the university.
